There are hundreds of nonprofits in Israel that operate with good intentions. Each has its own field of activity and all of them are important; some focus on distributing food, others on accompanying teenagers, and some provide emergency assistance to people living on the street. But one nonprofit, Lasova, does all of this, all year round, nationwide, and with full transparency.

So what is actually special about the Lasova ngo?

Not just food. Also shelter. Also education. Hunger is just a symptom. The solution starts with a hot meal, but it doesn't end there. At Lasova, we realized that if we truly want to help a homeless person, we must consider tonight and tomorrow as well. That's why we established restaurants for the needy, temporary shelters, and a whole network of youth homes for boys and girls from the socio-economic periphery.

Even if life takes people to less-than-ideal places, we operate from the belief that no one should go through it alone. And with us, everyone is accepted without any criteria or questions.

Not just Tel Aviv - also Arad, Lod, and Kiryat Shmona! LaShoba currently operates 41 institutions across the country. Every donation received on the site can support a lunch at our intern's house in Acre, at the women's shelter in the south of the city, or with a personal escort from a girl in Ramla.

Even on Fridays. Even in times of emergency.

On Fridays leading up to Shabbat, when the city is quiet and the shops are closed, Lasova's restaurant is the only specialty restaurant in the city that offers diners a real family Friday meal. Those who have visited already know, and those who haven't are warmly invited - it's an exciting experience for volunteers and diners alike.. Fridays and, of course, also on holidays, lockdown days, or periods of war, for anyone whose hand cannot reach the situation

even gets worse. And that's why we don't rest either. We are present on the ground even when the routine is shaken. Because assistance is not something that can be postponed to another day.

We don't ask for trust. We earn it.

Every shekel that comes into the organization is reported. Every employee's standard is on the website. Every year, we publish full financial reports, audit reports, salary tables, and approvals from state authorities.
