General information

Three Lasova restaurants in Tel Aviv, Akko, and Karmiel.

The restaurants provide over 2000 nutritious meals every day at no charge  to those in need.

Tens of thousands of disadvantaged people in Israel cannot afford basic necessities. It is our obligation to guarantee that no one is hungry.

This is why Lasova established a soup kitchen in 1990 in the heart of the disadvantaged population – the Shapira neighborhood, adjacent to the central bus station in Tel Aviv. This is where thousands of underprivileged elderly, unemployed and disabled individuals live as well as immigrants from the former Soviet Union. In 2003 we established two additional soup kitchen restaurants: one in Acre and the other in Karmiel.

Lasova restaurants provide each person with a full, hot, nutritious, filling, kosher lunch, at no charge and with no questions asked. Every diner can eat as much as they want until they feel satisfied.

Unlike the negative connotation of the soup kitchens abroad, anyone that comes to Lasova’s restaurants can eat in a dignified manner, in a clean, spacious, and bright restaurant.

Most of the food served at the restaurant comes from donations given by manufacturers, farmers, restaurants, and event halls. We collect the surplus food using our Asif Ha’Ir vehicles. During the day, the Asif Ha’Ir vehicles are driven by drivers who work at Lasova, and in the evening and at night, the vehicles are driven by volunteers.
